Task
This is a group assignment. My group has a total of 18 members. Firstly, we were required to study bamboo materials, anthropometrics and ergonomics of human forms. Then, we shave to come out with designs and make a 1-to-1 scale bamboo structure that is going to display in Taylor's University Square. Lastly, we have to produce 4 A2 size presentation boards and present our bamboo structure as a group verbally.

Progress
Idea sketching
We sketched out our ideas and the research of the bamboos manually. These information were really helpful when we further develop our bamboo design.
Making Test Models
After having our design sketches, we transformed them into 3D scaled models. The materials we used for test models were the different thicknesses of satay sticks to represent the thickness we want to use for our actual bamboo structure.
Outcome
"Recluse" is the name of our bamboo structure. The purpose of our structure is mainly to give the canopy effective shading properties whilst allowing diffused amounts of sunlight to penetrate it, giving it a sense of spirituality when it casts shadows with a rhythmic contortion into the vault.
