Summary

Reflection

Throughout this assignment, I have learnt to identify and analyse the tangible and intangible elements of a street. I have chosen Harmony Street from Malacca and I have understood more in-depth about its context and identity. I have also acquired the skills of identifying and understanding different traditional religious building styles and elements. It was also interesting to see various styles of traditional shophouses and study the traditional trades they have in Harmony Steet back in the day. Other than learning about the street, my sketching and info composition skills have also improved throughout the whole working process. This is a very important skill for an architecture student. Lastly, I feel like I could improve this project by including more detailed information about the architectural style of shophouses and improving the consistency and tidiness of my handwriting.
