Task
The assignment consists of two components: an individual task and a group task. For the individual task, we were required to produce two poetic architecture precedent studies. For the group task, we are required to romanticize a tropical beach and create two standalone structures with a poetic narrative and journey. These structures should undergo an intriguing transformation by incorporating modifying elements, all while adhering to a linear and concentric design.

My poetic architecture precedent studies are Punta Majahua in Mexico and RW Concrete Church in Korea. Both of this buildings Both of these buildings possess their own uniqueness in defining poetic spaces.

For the group task, we started by deciding on the narratives and did some research on poetic architecture, modifying elements, concentric and linear layout and poetic spaces that can be found in the campus.

Outcome
Nouvelle Vague "a new wave" is a name given to both of the structures. It means ‘a new wave’, trend, movement, phase, etc., especially in an art form. Our structures convey the idea of a new movement. Different types of users can dive into a ‘new experience’ like at the beach, a new phase outside their comfort zone, and exploring a new escapade similar to a beach.

During this assignment, I have been introduced to poetic architecture, which emphasizes the spatial journey of users. This approach involves studying human behaviors, actions, personalities, experiences, and more, with the aim of creating meaningful narratives for individuals. Poetic architecture also encompasses the examination of spatial typologies, the modification of elements, materialities, textures, and other factors. Working with my team, we thoroughly studied these aspects to achieve the best outcome for a structure situated at a tropical beach. Additionally, I gained insights into the concepts and designs of both concentric and linear layouts, while also incorporating our narratives into them.
